Mother's Day is that time of the year when we honour our mothers for bringing us into the world, taking care of us and generally being awesome people. Did you know that in Singapore we celebrate it on the second Sunday of March along with most of the countries that celebrate Mother's Day?
Well, if you didn't, now you do :).
Here are five things you can do with your mum on Mother's Day weekend.
The Platters, the legendary vocal group behind songs like "Only You", "The Great Pretender" and more, will be performing at Resorts World Ballroom as part of "The Golden Years Concert Tour". Although not on Mother's Day proper (this is a day early), this will please any mum who is a fan of the group and she'd be in a good mood on the next day right?

For mums who are young at heart, step into the world of a polar bear keeper at the Zoo and learn more about how Inuka the polar bear is cared for.
Spend a chill evening at the Botanic Gardens with mum while enjoying classics performed by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. At this special concert, there will also be a Mother's Day gift if you drop by the SSO booth.

As I write this, I am already hearing wa meng ti, wa meng ti ... in my ears. If your mother likes listening to songs from Taiwan Hokkien singers 翁立友, 张蓉蓉 and 陈思安, be sure to bring her to watch this concert.
